Mariel admits 'little' alteration of her latest sexy photos

Actress Mariel Rodriguez revealed that there was indeed a 'little' alteration made to her latest sexy photos for a popular men's magazine.

"May konti friends, ang big niya (referring to her chest) in fairness... thank you for the technology talaga. Maraming salamat sa computer. Parang sobra siyang laki parang sa totoong buhay hindi siya ganyan," Rodriguez said.

The actress-host said that she that does not want to lie on the pictures and explained that the alteration was only made to create illusion and enhance her figure.

Despite the help of modern technology, Rodriguez said she is really excited about her latest project. She invited everyone to grab a copy of the FHM magazine that will be out soon.

"I super duper love it. I'm so proud," she said.

Rodriguez, one of the co-hosts of ABS-CBN's popular noontime show "Wowowee", explained her reasons for doing the pictorial.

"I just did it for Hot Pink (a sexy underwear line owned by her sister) basically, but no, I'm not going to change. It's still me. I don't think I'm gonna do any sexy pictorial anytime soon so buy this one na," she ended.

Mariel Rodriguez to grace FHM cover

Television host-actress Mariel Rodriguez bared that she has once again posed sexy, this time for the cover of men’s magazine FHM.

Rodriguez shared that she was made to wear lingerie during the photo shoot, which she branded as the “sexiest pictorial I did.” Last year, the television host posed for another men’s magazine, Maxim.

“There was one super backless talaga, panty lang, ‘yong likod bare, super sexy talaga,” she told reporters during the press launch of the new celebrity endorsers of beauty clinic Calayan Surgicenter.

She said she lost some weight just for the photo shoot.

“Kailangan maging sexy, kasi sexy si ‘Dyosa.’ Kailangan maging sexy si Varga,” she said in jest, referring to television series "Dyosa" starring Anne Curtis and boyfriend Zanjoe Marudo.

Rodriguez played the heroine in “Mars Ravelo’s Komiks Presents” Varga.

When asked if she sought Marudo’s permission before her sexy pictorial, she said: “Alam niya. Wala siyang sinabi. I just told him I was doing it. Sabi niya, ‘Talaga?’ Tapos sabi niya, ‘O di ba, favorite mo yang FHM?’ Niloloko niya ako pag nakikita niya ang [FHM]. Kahit hindi pa ako ‘yong latest FHM, ‘O, ikaw.’ ‘Di naman ako yan.’ ‘Ah, akala ko ikaw yan.’ Gumaganyan siya.”

Rodriguez added that the magazine will be a perfect “hot gift” to men.

Zanjoe takes pride in Mariel being the 'fantasy' of men

Model turned actor Zanjoe Marudo is proud that many men find his girlfriend, Wowowee host Mariel Rodriguez, desirable. "Mas maganda 'yun. Kung ang girlfriend mo pinagpapantasyahan ng ibang tao ibig sabihin suwerte ka," he said.

"Proud din ako na at least kahit papaano 'yung girlfriend ko nagugustuhan din ng ibang lalaki. Kahit asawa mo na 'yan hindi naman mapipigilan na magustuhan ng ibang tao," he emphasized.

For this, he feels lucky to be Mariel's boyfriend. It is not a big deal for him if guys get attracted to Mariel. Zanjoe describes that he is very happy with the status of their relationship even if they don't go out as much.

Since both of them are busy with work, Zanjoe revealed that whenever they get the chance go out, they make the most out of it. "Kunwari may family gathering sila, minsan a-attend ako o kaya sa amin. Hindi na 'yung para lang makita siya sa taping tatakbuhin ko pa siya. Kailangan talaga, pag busy sige work muna."

He shared that they both have agreed that work will be their priority. He explained that he and Mariel are fully aware that projects don't always come so they grab every opportunity that comes their way.

"Darating din naman 'yung time na maraming bakanteng araw. Tsaka mas masaya 'yung ganon. Hindi kayo mauumay sa isa't isa, mami-miss n'yo ang isa't isa," Zanjoe shared.

Their lack of time together is compensated by constant communication via text messaging and calls. "Maaga pa lang nilatag na namin 'yung sitwasyon. Hindi kami tutulad sa iba na magbabantay o dumadalaw sa set. Hindi requirement 'yon. Kailangan trabaho pa rin," explained Zanjoe.

He said that with this set-up, they won't have regrets on having to give up projects.

Zanjoe currently appears in Dyosa and the recently ended Komiks Presents Mars Ravelo’s Varga. He also top bills the Cinema One Originals digital film "Altar", a suspense thriller which will be showing soon in selected theaters in Metro Manila.

Body Talk with Mariel Rodriguez

A day in the life of Wowowee co-host Mariel Rodriguez goes this way:

She wakes up at 8:30 a.m., takes a cup of coffee, prepares what she needs for the day, leaves her condo unit in Wack-Wack (Mandaluyong City) at 10 and by 10:30 she is at her dressing room in ABS-CBN for her make-up (by Edwin Aguilar who has been with her ever since). The show starts at 12:30 p.m. but she and co-hosts Valerie Concepcion, Pokwang and others have to be at the studio early because the main host, their “Pappy” Willie (Revillame), sometimes wants to rehearse out of the blue.

After Wowowee at around 3 p.m., Mariel attends to other activities, such as pictorials and interviews. If the Wowowee barkada has a show abroad, she tapes for advance episodes. She never forgets to squeeze in time for her boyfriend, Zanjoe Marudo. She goes home early, takes a light dinner, relaxes a bit by reading or watching TV and DVDs, and then goes to bed at 1 a.m.

“I am lucky pa nga because my schedule is not as bad as that of soap stars,” said Mariel. “I don’t have to work overnight. My daily routine is just like that of an ordinary office girl. I actually have a lot of spare time.”

Mariel has been in showbiz for four years. She had her debut on a TV action-adventure series in Singapore where she (and Denise Laurel) stayed for six months. Back home, she guested on Extra Challenge (the defunct GMA show hosted by Paolo Bediones) and joined MTV. Then, she moved to ABS-CBN and did Ok Fine Whatever (with Aga Muhlach, et al) and Pinoy Big Brother (PBB where she met Zanjoe) before she landed in Wowowee in 2006.

Mariel stands 5’3”, measures 34-26-34, and wears small-size shirt and size-seven shoes.

Do you eat three square meals a day...on time?

“No problem with that. We do potluck every day. I bring rice and Valerie the viand. The others also bring some food. We eat together in-between the segments.”

What kind of diet do you have?

“I eat anything except mayonnaise, pickles and liver. I love Filipino food. Iba pa rin ang may rice. Favorite dish? Sinigang.”

What vitamins do you take?

“Enervon-C. You know, more energy mas happy.”

What about snacks?

“I love sweets — for more energy. Sometimes, I take junk food. Ay, bad!”

With your kind of schedule, do you get enough sleep?

“I get an average of seven to eight hours per night. No, I don’t have any problem falling asleep.”

Favorite sleep wear?

“Comfortable pajamas and Hotpink lingerie. You know what, I really dress up for bed. I notice that women in the Philippines are not cautious when they go to bed. They put on a duster or a big T-shirt and that’s it. They are comfortable, all right. Pero siempre I believe na mas maganda ang tulog mo kung maganda rin ang suot mo. It’s important to wear the right underwear which should match your top. If you’re wearing white pajamas, kadiri naman kung loud ang kulay ng underwear mo, di ba? When I was in Big Brother’s house, most of my underwear were by Hotpink.”

How many pillows do you sleep with?

“Six, but I don’t use all. I put one under my head, one on each side and the rest basta andyan lang.”

Do you snore?

“Only when I’m really, really tired.”

Do you talk in your sleep?

“I do! Kahit tulog ako, madaldal pa rin. Hehehehehe! Inside Big Brother’s house, Ethel (Booba, her housemate) would tell me, ‘O, nagsasalita ka na naman!’ She said na mayroon daw akong inaaway but I didn’t know who.”

You don’t sleepwalk, do you?

“Thank God, I don’t! Baka kung saan ako mapunta.”

What’s the last thing that you do before you go to sleep?

“I pray...for my loved ones.”

And the first thing that you do when you wake up?

“As soon as the alarm clock in my cell phone rings, I check ‘missed calls’ and messages. I usually put my celfon on ‘silent’ mode before I go to sleep.”

How do you cope with stress?

“I get a massage every day. I’m addicted to it. There are masseurs at ABS-CBN...’yung shoulder massage lang naman. Or I listen to my favorite songs on my iPod. And yes, I read dumb and stupid books, like books about shopping; nothing heavy. I do read novels by Dan Brown every now and then. Or I watch romantic-comedies and suspense movies on DVD. I don’t watch horror movies at night, otherwise I get so scared that I can’t sleep. Grabe ang imagination ko.”

Do you work out?

“Not often, not at all! I’m more of a diet person. When I have to lose weight, I’d rather go on a diet than work out, which is wrong I know. But since I’m hyper-active, I guess I’m doing enough exercise. I’m always moving; I can’t stay put for long.”

What part of your body needs improvement?

“My thighs and my arms.”

What part is most vulnerable?

“Siempre, my heart!”

And what part is your favorite?

“My shoulders. They’re nice, di ba?”

How’s your love life? How are you and Zanjoe?

“We’ve been ‘on’ for less than a year. I’d known him for a while, we were going out, but I got to know him better and we started going steady only after we came out of Big Brother’s house.”

Is he your first showbiz boyfriend?

“He’s the first. I’ve had two, both not from showbiz. Zanjoe and I compliment each other. I’m madaldal and he is quiet. I’m hyper and he’s not.”

What’s your outlook in life?

“Optimistic. Why worry?”

You are hoarse. Did you get that from hosting Wowowee?

“No. Bata pa lang ako, paos na talaga ako.”

Name three guys who you think have nice bodies?

“Zanjoe, of course! Jon Avila. Derek Ramsay.”

And three women...

“Angelica Panganiban. Cristine Reyes. RR Enriquez.”

Using only body language, how would you make a guy know that you admire him?

“I look at him and smile.”

Mariel Rodriguez and Jon Avila are PBB’s New Housemates!

There are two housemates that are supposed to enter Big Brother’s house today. The first housemate is a guy. He is half Filipino and half English. He grew up in London but he became a commercial model in the Philippines. The other housemate is a girl. She is known to be “pasaway” and there are guys who liked her because she is sexy. The question is, whether the girl housemate that is supposed to enter Kuya’s house will really continue or not.

The first housemate to enter Big Brother’s House is the “English Outcast” Jon Avila. He was accompanied by Bianca Gonzales to Kuya’s house through a limousine. When he got out of the limo, he was not wearing a shirt thus exposing his muscular abs. Mariel Rodriguez was the one who assisted him in entering the house and they went directly to the confession room where Big Brother welcomed Jon. After Kuya talked to Jon, there was an unexpected twist that made Mariel cry. Big Brother asked Mariel and Jon to go to the living room with the other housemates. It was then that Mariel made a “violent” reaction when it occurred to her that she will become one of the housemates. She tried to clarify it to Kuya but the latter did not gave her a direct answer and insisted for the two celebrities to go to the living room.

Mariel got very emotional when they got to the living room. Big Brother then asked Victor inside the Confession Room. He told Victor to give the present to Mariel and let her open it. When Mariel opened the box, it was a confirmation of her being one of Kuya’s housemates. She couldn’t stop the tears in her eyes. She kept on saying, “I couldn’t believe they’re doing this to me. I knew it, I knew it, I knew it…” Her fellow housemates did their best to console her by saying comforting words and telling her that everything will be OK. But what Mariel was concerned about was that she was totally unprepared to be inside Kuya’s house and be separated from loved ones for a long time because she did not know that she will really be a part of it. Unlike the other celebrities who have been properly informed, Mariel is not ready to be separated from the outside world.

Meanwhile, Bianca received a letter from Big Brother saying that Mariel is one of the housemates because he wants to know Mariel better. Big Brother added that in all the Pinoy Big Brother Editions, Mariel was only his “kapitbahay”. At this point, he wants to know more about her and thus, she is really a part of this PBB Celebrity Edition 2. Bianca also mentioned that over the weekend, Mariel told her that her greatest fear is to become one of Kuya’s housemates and the former told her that it will not happen. But today, it just happened and Mariel had a difficulty in accepting it.

Tonight with Toni Gonzaga, we will find out if the girl housemate, who was revealed to be Ethel Booba, will really join Kuya’s group of housemates. Stay tuned Kapamilya!

Zanjoe says reel- and real-life romance with Mariel not a problem in 'Varga'

Actor-model Zanjoe Marudo said his real-life romance with actress and TV host Mariel Rodriguez is not an obstacle to their having a good working relationship in ABS-CBN’s upcoming television series titled “Varga.”

Rodriguez plays the eponymous role of the alien superheroine while Marudo plays her Earthly leading man.

Marudo told abs-cbnNEWS.com that he and Rodriguez are professionals--they are even able to put their personal problems behind them while working together.

“Ako na din iyong nagsabi, nagpaliwanag na kapag trabaho, trabaho talaga iba,” Marudo explains.

Marudo also praised Rodriguez saying that the actress really knows how to love her job.

“Lalo na itong Varga mararamdaman mo na gustong gusto niya ang ginagawa niya, alam naman natin na napaka-arte ng tao pero ito tinitiiis niya talaga kahit na mainit o nasa pangit na lugar ay tinitiis niya lahat at binibigay niya lahat at makikita na kapag pinalabas na,” he said.

The hunk actor in an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com said that his relationship now with Rodriguez is all right, although sometimes their work schedules prevent them from spending time together.

“Minsan lang hindi kami nagkikita. Dahil iyon nagte-taping ako ng ‘Dyosa, nagte-taping siya ng ‘Varga’; nagwo-‘Wowowee pa’ siya minsan, so sa ‘Varga’ magkakasama kami,” he said.

To keep their affair stronger they make sure that they are in constant communication. That's why they are always calling each other, especially now that he is leaving for the US.

“Lagi kaming nag-uusap at lagi kaming nagtatawagan,” he said. mMarudo is set to fly in US this coming Wednesday, July 30 and will be back on August 13 for the Coverboys’ shows.

He also shared that this will be his first US trip that’s why he is really excited. The actor is also set to be seen on the sineserye "Florinda" with Maricel Soriano.

Marudo gained popularity when he joined Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 1 in 2006.

"Varga" will have its premiere telecast on August 2, Saturday, after the final episode of "Kapitan Boom!"

Mariel, Zanjoe fall in love in 'Varga'

There are now more reasons to tune in "Komiks Presents Mars Ravelo's Varga" this Saturday on ABS-CBN 2.

Just like in real life, James (Zanjoe Marudo) fell in love at first sight with Varga (Mariel Rodriguez) during a beauty contest.

Because Tita Perla (Dexter Doria) gambles their entire cash prize, Olga (Angel Sy) and Vara (Mariel) decide to join another contest, the search for a Voom Voom Babe.

This will be a venue for James to pursue Varga. And because he is challenged by Varga's indifference to him, he will do everything to win Varga's heart, just like Zanjoe and Mariel's love story. But due to an incident, Varga will vanish without a trace.

Find out why the Vavavavoom superhero suddenly disappears. And just like their relationship off cam, will James and Varga end up together, in spite of their different backgrounds?

There are also new super powers Varga will discover on Saturday so don't miss the action-filled and hilarious scenes in "Komiks Presents Mars Ravelo's Varga" at 6:45 p.m. on ABS-CBN 2.

Mariel Rodriguez: I'm stronger now after all the intrigues

Host-actress Mariel Rodriguez said that negative write-ups against her made her stronger now. In an interview, the actress said that the abortion issue and bad stories written when she was still inside the Pinoy Big Brother house really changed her for the better.

"You know what, after that abortion after my PBB experience it really made me a strong person. Lahat kaya ko na after that and it's true at first I thought my world would fall apart because people didn't understand me but then it was just magnified and ngayon sobrang kahit ano talaga kaya ko na," Rodriguez said.

It will be recalled that criticisms were throwm at Rodriguez when she really got close to ex-fellow housemate Jon Avila while reports said that she has a sweetheart outside the house and that was actor-endorser Zanjoe Marudo.

Rodriguez who plays the role of ABS-CBN's Komiks Presents: "Varga," said that she's open to the fact that she can not please everybody but added that she is now open to face any issues or questions that people would want to know.

"Okey lang hindi ko sila lahat magpip lease...ngaon kahit anong ibato sa akin ay sasagutin ko, kaya ko kasi wala naman akong tinatago, ngayon kahit anong sabihin mo sa akin kaya ko," she said.

Aside from being happy in love with Marudo, the actress also said that right now she's focusing on her career and really thankful with all the blessings that she's receiving.

She said that she's happy to be Varga and really honored and thrilled to be part of weekly entertainment show "Entertainment Live" with her co-hosts Toni Gonzaga, Bianca Gonzalez and Luis Manzano.

The said show will mark its first year anniversary this coming Saturday, August 16 with a lot of surprises.

"We are celebrating one year already on Saturday, kaabang-abang kasi controversial ang mga ininterview namin kaming lahat isa isa. Si Bianca inteview niya si KC, si Luis and Angel for he first time, ako I will interview my idol si Claudine Barretto. Loaded kami sa Saturday I can't believe it na one year na kami sa Entertainment Live and we survived," Rodriguez proudly said.

Rodriguez added that she's really thankful to all the viewers and promise that the show will be more exciting and worth watching.

"Jucier at mas hindi na kami natatakot kaming apat we are not afraid to ask questions anymore," she added.

Mariel Rodriguez or Maria Erlinda Termulo in real life was first known to be an endorser of different products. Before she moved to ABS-CBN she hosted GMA-7's "Extra Challenge."

She also hosted the Pinoy Big Brother shows. Presently, Rodriguez is one of the hosts of Wowewee with Pokwang and Valerie Concepcion.

Mariel Rodriguez: Talking her way to success

If you were to think and list down who among today’s stars have become a familiar sight on TV, from noon till night, every day of the week, count Mariel Rodriguez in the list. She co-hosts ABS-CBN’s Wowowee Mondays to Saturdays, gives updates on goings-on inside Big Brother’s house on PBB Uber, talks about the latest showbiz buzz every Saturday on Entertainment Live with Toni Gonzaga, Bianca Gonzalez and Luis Manzano, hosts the Kapamilya cable movie and celebrity news on Cinema One and even does product endorsements. Yet she remains giggly, energetic and seems to be talking nonstop. Many wonder if the 23-year-old host who made a name out of talking is for real.

“This is my true personality. I don’t think becoming quiet would show the real me because I talk even in my sleep,” Mariel says during the press launch of her latest product endorsement, the Eezy Twist and Brush.

Although Mariel broke into the entertainment scene by playing Pamela on MTV Asia’s Rouge, her big mouth and husky voice, says Mariel, have introduced her to a wider audience as she clinched different hosting jobs. She became one of MTV Philippines’ VJs before being Paolo Bediones’ co-host on Extra Challenge. Then, she moved to ABS-CBN where PBB business unit head direk Laurenti Dyogi found her kilometric answer to his question impressive enough to make her part of the 24/7 reality show as one of its hosts.

“My being talkative serves me well and I can’t be thankful enough for the people who continue to have trust in me,” says Mariel who only shuts up when watching Gossip Girl.

Yet sometimes, Mariel admits, her very lively spirit and actions are always mistaken for overacting or what she says is kulang sa pansin particularly when she spent some time inside the Bahay ni Kuya as one of the guest housemates. Still, Mariel is unfazed by the tag and insists she is just sharing the positive atmosphere that she grew up with.

“I don’t want to put myself in compromising situations but there were incidents that got me into trouble due to my tactlessness,” Mariel offers.

One shocking incident, she vividly recalls, happened when she made one funny comment after a serious scenario was aired on TV. Mariel relates how she melted in shame for what she did after the station head called her attention. She hastily apologized for her mistake.

Another one was when she blurted out a word on-air without knowing its meaning saying, “I even shouted it for everybody to hear only to find out later how bad the word was.”

Yes, Mariel has learned to be more careful in her words but still can’t slow down in her talking. This almost always leads to happy situations.

“Before, I wanted to be a dramatic actress but with what’s happening lately, I think I can be part of a sitcom because even if I cry, people still find me funny,” Mariel quips.

And what can she say about Precious Lara Quigaman being taken out of Wowowee?

“We all felt bad because we love Lara. I texted her to know how she’s doing and she texted back that she’s fine and thanked me for remembering her. So far I don’t have problems dealing with other people. Madaldal lang talaga ako,” Mariel replies.

Mariel and Zanjoe spotted in Hong Kong

A Hongkong-based source told us that Wowowee and Pinoy Big Brother host Mariel and rumored boyfriend hunk actor Zanjoe Marudo were seen at the lobby of the Marco Polo Hotel. Mariel was wearing big bubble-gum shades and Zanjoe camouflaged in a fisherman's hat. Thinking that they won't be recognized, the two strolled around the city and little did they know, Filipino chismosos saw them and quickly tipped us.

According to our source, Mariel and Zanjoe stayed in just one room. Is it true? We'll go and ask Mariel next week if this Hongkong getaway is true or not.

Mariel has been very vocal about her feelings for hunk-actor Zanjoe for the past few weeks. Sources confirmed to us that Mariel and Zanjoe were officially an item and they've been going out a lot more often.

Mariel admitted in an interview, although indirectly, that she's more comfortable and happier right now with Zanjoe around. She no longer calls him "mystery man" because apparently, she's tired of saying the old, boring line: "We're just friends."

"I'm so tired of saying that line coz clearly, we're not just friends!"Mariel confessed.

She may be vocal and frank about her feelings, but her manager TV host Boy Abunda warned her and appealed that Zanjoe should be the one to confirm the status of their relationship.

Last week, during the ABS-CBN Trade Fair in Embassy at The Fort, we caught up with Zanjoe and ambushed him with questions regarding Mariel. But all we got was just a run-around, literally! We asked how everything with Mariel is right now, and the only response we got from himwas "Masaya!"

Mariel Rodriguez is okay with changes in "Wowowee"

"My career is not affected," banggit ni Mariel sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal). "If [for] example, my career is affected, then I would really be devastated. But actually, maganda yung nangyayari sa career ko ngayon, so I can't say na napektuhan ang career ko."

Kasunod ng mga isyu kay Mariel ang balita na hindi na raw siya muling tatanggapin sa Wowowee bilang co-host ni Willie Revillame.

"The funny thing is I never heard that," nagtatakang sabi ni Mariel. "Ako ang nagsabi na I needed a break when I came out. Yung unang beses ako na lumabas, sunud-sunod kaagad. So what I want, I personally asked them kung puwedeng bigyan n'yo naman ako kahit isang linggo na magpahinga naman ako sandali."

If you remember, kinulong ako doon [sa Bahay ni Kuya]. I was surprised."

Nag-usap na ba sila ni Willie?

"Hindi naman kailangan. As far as I know, okay naman kami," saad niya.

I don't feel that at all," aniya.

Pagbalik niya sa Wowowee, hindi ba siya nanibago sa mga pagbabago rito, including her appearance sa mga portions ng show?

"No, marami kami, equally divided," sabi niya. "Ako, honestly, tumaba yung puso ko nung nalaman ko na marami kami. You know why? I asked them, ‘Bakit dumami?' Sabi nila sa akin, ‘Because you weren't here.' Yun ang sagot nila sa akin.

"I don't know if I'm allowed to say this, kasi baka I will get in trouble. Heto na naman ako, nagsasabi na naman ako ng totoo. Pero ganun, tumaba ang puso ko. Ganun kasarap yung pakiramdam mo."

Hindi ba siya nai-insecure sa kapwa niya co-host sa Wowowee na si Precious Lara Quigaman na balitang favorite daw ngayon ni Willie?

"I have no reason to be insecure," ngiti ni Mariel.

Wala bang aalisin sa mga bagong co-hosts ni Willie now that she's back?

"Ay, kawawa naman sila na biglang, ‘Okay na. Thank you, ha.' It's not fair. And you know what? I had my time. I enjoyed my exposure and everyting ng Wowowee. Sino ba naman ako para mag...how do I say this?"

Magsolo?

"Yeah, yeah... From the start, wala akong pakialam kung gaano karami yung ano, kung sino ang nasa gitna or kung sino or ano. It doesn't matter to me. Ako, nasa side kasi yung anggulo ko, yun ang importante sa akin. Promise!" ani Mariel.

Jon Avila wants Mariel Rodriguez to be his Valentine date

Jon Avila was hesitant at first to reveal his Valentine's date at the launching of the Friendster Fan Profile at Taguig City yesterday afternoon, January 23. But the former Pinoy Big Brother celebrity housemate has something planned for his special girl.

"I'm not sure. I'm thinking, I'm gonna cook. Siguro, in an intimate location," was his short answer.

But how does a heartthrob like Jon woo a girl?

"Sweet text. Just to let them know I'm thinking about them. You know, buy little gifts, you know, like small things, simple things. I appreciate the simple things," he said.

But when pressed if PBB host and ex-special guest housemate Mariel Rodriguez will be Jon's date for the special occasion, Jon hesitated.

"I wanted it to be her. We're still in the process of getting to know each other. It's fun. We're having fun," the 22-year-old model said.

"Everyone has their special someone in their life. I'm not really with anyone at this time." Jon said he is busy with his goal of making the transition from model to actor. "This what I wanted to do in the first place a few years ago. I mean, it's about time na."

Riza on Mariel

“I really like Ate Mariel. Gusto ko siya and I guess, she didn’t mean anything what she said in the past. Between me and Ate Mariel, there’s no issue,” wika ni Riza nang makausap namin.

Bumabawi talaga si Mariel, Not bad.

Riza Santos still considers Mariel Rodriguez as her friend

"It's completely untrue," says Riza Santos about rumors saying that she almost filed a case of oral defamation against fellow Pinoy Big Brother celebrity housemate Mariel Rodriguez. "My parents would not sue. I would not sue Ate Mariel."

Riza narrated the events that happened that Friday night, December 28, during the stag party of Ruben Gonzaga who was about to get married the next day.

"I went inside the house to change my shirt kasi mainit sa labas." Whila Riza was inside the PBB house, Mariel was left outside talking with Ethel Booba. The Ultimate Pasaway admitted that she was smitten by Will Deveughn, who is being linked to Riza. In response to Ethel's affection towards Will, Mariel cursed Riza, saying, "Pu--ng inang virgin na ‘to [Riza]. Pu__ng ina talaga! Pu_i siya. Ki_i ng ina niya!"

Riza revealed: "Totoo lang, hindi ko pinanood yung video kasi alam ko na kung anong sinabi niya. At that point, I felt I didn't need to see it. I looked it up at You Tube and I saw everything. I saw the comments. I read what she said.

"There is no point in dwelling over it and thinking about it kasi she approached me naman and I accepted [her apology]. We've moved on from there.

"She said, ‘Sorry, alam mo naman we're friends.' Alam ko naman kaibigan kami so for me, it's not an issue," said Riza sincerely.

What can she say about the fact that Mariel made a face when she read the slip of paper indicating that Riza was the Second Big Placer of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2.

"Hindi naman nag-iba yung tingin ko kay Ate Mariel. You can interpret it in different ways, pero I haven't really talked to her about that particular issue. But I haven't changed my opinion about Ate Mariel. I'd still treat her the same way and I still consider her as my friend. I'm not going to treat her differently."

Don't you think Mariel should be held accountable for her actions? "Sa tingin ko, she's old enough to know the things she should say, how she should act. She's at that age when she knows the difference between right and wrong. She's at an age when she can make a sound judgment of anong dapat niyang gawin," said Riza.

The 2006 Ms. Earth-Canada title holder also pointed out that she has signed a five-year, nine-picture contract with Viva Films. In the upcoming Robin Padilla-Ai-Ai delas Alas movie, Riza will have a role as a balikbayan.
